Opening Statement from Nick Saban

"So I'm really proud of our players and the way they competed in the game. This was obviously a tough game and on top of defense, did an outstanding job of only giving up three points and that was up for a turnover. field position. So other guys really played well. freshman quarterback pretty well didn't give up a lot of explosive plays. So kept him off the board. And now, I know that we showed a little bit on offense. We ran the ball very well, much better in the second half and we did first and I'm really proud of our players and the way they competed and not need to do a better job to get them ready to play in games like this. And we'll flatten the beginning but after the rainbow delay, I thought we competed better in the game. I want our players to be happy about the fact that they won. And during the 24 hours or nobody got the SEC coming up next weekend. Obviously we got a lot of things to fix and we'll work on it but we've actually had four touchdowns, you know, negated this year because the penalties kick off today. touchdown run today. You know, so to last week so all these things add up to just how much consistency and how well you play. How many points do you score? So we need to fix all those things, and we're certainly going to work on it. But I know you're gonna ask me about quarterback but we're going to evaluate the quarterbacks and play today and why resume no role in terms of how we play and decide, you know, this week, who gives us the best opportunity to be successful as an offensive team and that's the way we'll go so I'm proud of our players. I'm proud of where they competed in the game. Talking about having your back first of all, you know quite a bit asking for when you're here too, is a great job Brian six minutes outside of the game on challenge the offensive line so don't give them the ball that they clock in. The game. And that's exactly what they did. I thought they dominated the line of scrimmage. We got in some close formations because they were given so much pressure and didn't say good plays. And we had a couple of guys in this game today. Jeanne Moore was an ankle injury so you should we ever pay cable sick. So we actually didn't even make the church very sick, but I think it'd be okay. And you know, both of them employ and you know, bookstand illegally the offensive line. He certainly got 74 play better because the plaintiff Saddam makes them all calls and executive orders a lot more conference resume there."

Interview our with Nick Saban

Question : Coach impressed with your team competing today and also with the big interception their overall?

Answer : The way they competed in the game and we didnt play great, had a lot of adversity overcome and kept answering the bell when we needed to do it. Special teams you know change field position quite a bit James with his planning was outstanding. We had a couple others that we could have got down if the gunners would have done a good job. But you know when you lose players like Kay law and Terry on on our was usually the gunners well. I don't like for starters to play on more than two special teams. So he wasn't a gunner kala when the gunner and those guys are really good at down a ball catching the ball. So we got two new gunners in there. So you know, but that's the cumulative effect sometime when you start to lose players, the next guy's got to be able to step up. But we didn't execute great.
So I don't feel great about that. But the way we competed in the game was, I think outstanding.

What did you say anything to the team? How did you guys get her focus? Despite the crazy weather,

Answer : We came in and we were like, don't get relaxed, this is down. We're gonna go in here and we're gonna make audibles make adjustments and kind of hone in on what we're doing. So we went in there and we really just bonded in together. Some guy like us, we went in there and I will say like, it was kind of like weird, like, I mean, we went in there and kind of reflected it was like our time, as if just coming together being wet, being soaked and just going through different types of environments.
Or different types of conditions and just coming together

Answer :  from today perspective, you know, we we trained in harsh conditions every day. Try to have the hardest time of the day, you know, so that all the heat and the humidity and the rain and stuff like that they really fed this so you know, kind of useless.

Question : Then what is it like, you know, to play for a guys to play for  Coach Saban?

Answer : It's a blessing. You know, you get to learn a lot. You learn a lot, you get to experience a lot of things, you know, he gets to teach you a lot of things that a regular coach can really teach you.
