Post game Notes : Ohio State vs Maryland
No. 10 Ohio State 52, Maryland 51 (OT)
Postgame Notes
November 17, 2018 | Capitol One Field at Maryland Stadium
• With today’s win, Ohio State improves to 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes have won 10 or more games 14 times since 2000, the most of any Power 5 team in the country.
• Head coach Urban Meyer improves to 7-0 in his career in overtime. He’s 6-0 at Ohio State.
• RB J.K. Dobbins set a career high for single-game rushing attempts (37) and yards (204). It was the 24th 200+ yard performance in school history.
• Ohio State is 9-0 in Dobbins’ career when he runs for 100+ yards.
• Ohio State’s 688 yards of total offense is its most ever against a Big Ten opponent. The previous high was 686 against Penn State in 2013.
• QB Dwayne Haskins set single-season school records for passing yards (3,685) and touchdown passes (36). He topped Joe Germaine’s 20-yard old records for passing yardage and the one-year old TD passes record set last year by J.T. Barrett.
• Haskins is the first player with 400+ passing yards and 3+ rushing TD in a game since Patrick Mahomes in 2016 vs Kansas State.

Interview Urban Meyer
Urban Meyer: Thanks for being here in these tight quarters what a great win and thank Buckeye Nation for supporting us and also much respect for Coach Canada and wow was that a back and forth back and forth you obviously saw it so much respect for him and his staff and his players to fight like that what they went through, they made that very clear, very fortunate to get out of there with a win and just a phenomenal effort on offense on defense, to give up those kinds of yards is obviously very alarming especially after I thought we had our...you've heard this before a great week of practice...regardless we won our 10th game and getting ready for our rival up next
Question: You've coached a lot of great quarterbacks in Tim Tebow JT, Barrett, now Dwayne Haskins what would you say throughout this season is the best thing he's improved on since becoming a starter and what do you think for your offense you guys need to fix against Michigan.
Urban Meyer? I think he made the point that what's missing was the toughness element and you have to pull the ball down and run and go get your yards and he did that today. I thought that's the best he's done, I mean I think he's scored, yeah he pulled it in and in the read play he dropped his pads and that, he has to do that and he's been willing it we're now gonna give those opportunities and his leadership was great, he's getting better and better at that...

Question: Dwayne, like you said this is a hometown game for you what was the biggest thing that you learned today in this game that you're gonna use against Michigan?
Dwayne Haskins: Just like the adversity you face you know I know we played them last year
we were down like ten points, get back in the game so you know no matter what the score is, no matter what the situation is whether it's first, third, second quarter you know every play matters, you gotta make every play count so this weekend we just appreciate the team that you know we're home, last home for the seniors in the Shoe so we gotta make it count
