  1. Who was your biggest role model growing up?

Answer : My parents are my biggest role models. They very rarely missed a game between little league, high school, and college. They pushed me to be the best person and baseball player I could be. I would not have been able to accomplish what I did without them.

2. Who was your favorite baseball player growing up and why?

Answer : Growing up a Yankees fan, my favorite player was Derek Jeter. Not only was he a great player on the field but he was also a great person off the field. My favorite pitcher was Mariano Rivera which was part of the reason I loved closing games for Briar Woods

3. What was it like to play for Coach Miller at Briar Woods High School?

Answer : I enjoyed my time very much at Briar Woods. The players were very close and had awesome chemistry. The coaches bought into that and set the expectation to be a top tier team, yet there was never a feeling of panic or pressure.

4. What are your favorite memories playing for The Briar Woods High School Baseball program?

Answer :  My favorite memories of my high school career, besides the state championship, is the relationships with my teammates. I was able to create life long friendships that continue today.

5. What was it like to be part of The State Championship team and hit a walk off to win it all?

Answer : The state championship was an unbelievable achievement and was something we were striving for since freshman year. Our 2017 class was very close and to accomplish something we set out to do especially in the exciting manner of a walk off was unbelievable.

6. When you committed to play at Wake Forest what was it like to play in your first ever NCAA game?

Answer : When I was in high school my parents and I had many conversations about what we were looking for in college. Wake checked every box. It is a great school, that was close enough that my parents come watch my games, beautiful campus, and power 5 conference sports.

7. What are your favorite memories playing for Wake Forest?

Answer : Somewhat similar to the high school response, however my favorite memories are the relationships that I was able to build with my teammates. The baseball season is long and rigorous however it gives you a chance to really bond with friends. There are still many friends that I still speak to every day from my wake teams.

8. The last year of your NCAA Baseball career, you decided to transfer and play at George Washington University what was that transfer like?

Answer : With the CoViD year of eligibility, I was able to play at GW while gaining a Masters degree in business management. I really enjoyed being close to home and having the chance to meet so many great people.

9. What was the biggest things you learned playing for George Washington?  When you played at both schools (George Washington and Wake Forest) what was your favorite away stadium to play in?

Answer : Being a transfer into gw, I was one of many 5th years however, this was where I learned the importance of leadership and how to lead. It was important to me to make sure that the younger guys on the team especially the freshman, knew what to expect and how to handle themselves during the day to day of being a student athlete

10.  What was it like to play other Briar Woods and Loudoun County Public Schools alumni in baseball at The NCAA, Minor League and Major League Baseball level during your playing career?

Answer : Northern Virginia has so much talent in all sports, it’s always very cool to see someone from the area excelling. I recently have started coaching in the Nova Premier travel organization to give back to the kids in Northern Virginia.

11. Final Question what advice would you give a rising freshman at Briar Woods that wants to join the baseball program and what would you tell an incoming freshman about joining an NCAA Program and playing college baseball?

Answer : My one piece of advice would be to make sure you don’t have any regrets about your career. Obviously there is going to be long days and difficult times however, when your career is over there is no going back. The biggest take away from my career is the relationships I made and how impactful my teammates have been on my life. The tough times are a chance to really bond with those asking you and is something I wouldn’t trade.
