Otis Livingston II

Question for Otis Livingston II

Question : What was going through your mind with a few seconds left on the clock and a tie game?

Livington II Answer "Everything slows down and gets quiet," Livingston II said of his mindset when he makes a key play. "It's a natural thing. I read the play, see where my guys are on the floor and make the best possible read I can."

Questions for Jordan Miller

Question: What was it like hearing your name and getting introduced for the first time in Eagle Bank Arena (first career home game)?

Miller Answer: “It was exciting, it was kind of like the old [Loudoun] Valley days. Like he was talking about, first time on the home court, a lot of friends and family here. It was kind of like a big adrenaline rush, which helped me out in the game too.”

Question: How did your coaches at Loudoun Valley help you prepare for coming to play at George Mason University?

Miller Answer: "They did a good job of keeping me tough, making sure I played hard, that’s the main thing I took away.  And leadership skills, being a senior on the team and carrying it here, even though we have older guys, a good voice in the background or just the freshman, everything helps, that’s what I really took away.”

Question: What was the game plan going in for you?

Miller Answer: “Personally the game plan was just to contribute to the team in any way possible, lift up my teammates, get stops on defense.  Defense, defense, defense, is like the mindset for our team.  So really just coming out, playing our game. We can’t really hit home runs, hit singles, Coach says it a lot, there’s no 5-point plays, there’s just 2-point and 3-point plays, so just stick to the game plan and we succeeded.

Question: What was it like playing your first game, coming home, getting your first career points here, and what do you think is the biggest thing you learned from tonight’s game that you’ll take into your next game?

Miller Answer: “I mean it was a big deal.  Like I said, the support was crazy, I’m happy everybody came out and showed love.  The thing I’ll take away for next game is to crash the boards, get those extra possessions for the team, and just contribute in any way.”
