1.  Who was your biggest Role model in your life?

Answer :  My biggest role model was hands down, my dad. He was always around me when it came to sports. If he wasn’t already my coach, he was my biggest fan.

2.  Who was your favorite Football player growing up?

Answer :  My favorite football player growing up was Deion Sanders. I loved watching the Cowboys play but “Primetime” was a special player to watch.

3. What was it like playing for the Stone Bridge Football Program and what was your favorite game you played in?

Answer :  Playing for Stone Bridge was an honor and a privilege. Nothing will ever take away from the memories we made and the brotherhood and friendships made. My favorite game that I played in has to be the Phoebus game. If you ask most of my teammates, they would probably agree.

    4.   What was it like playing for Coach Mickey Thompson?

Answer :  I’m not sure words can describe this. Coach Thompson is one of a kind. The man loved to have fun and joke with his players but knew when it was time to put in that work. There was a sense of security when you played for Mickey. Always kept his cool and was calm and collected. Always believed in the system that we all worked so hard to implement and always believed in his players, no matter what the score was.

5.  With so many touchdown catches...what was it like to Win the first State Title for the Stone Bridge Football Program and how did you prepare for that game?

Answer :  To be honest it was a dream come true. It was redemption for me. With the loss at states in 2005, this game meant even more to me. Preparation was just like any other game but in the back of my mind, I knew I had to be on the top of my game.

 6. What were your feelings on your signing day knowing you were going to play at William and Mary?

Answer :  I was extremely happy that such a great establishment like W&M looked my way for an opportunity to take my talents to the next level. As an inspired college athlete you always want to play for the biggest schools in the nation but there are a ton of smaller schools that have great opportunities for rising college athletes these days and W&M was the perfect fit for me.

7. What was it like getting your first start as a Wide receiver for William and Mary?

Answer :  It was actually very coincidental that my first college start was at the same place I ended my high school career, University of Virginia. It was my second year at W&M and we opened up with UVA. I wasn’t expected to start but the night before the game, a senior wide out came down with a cold which allowed me to step up to the plate. I will tell you that game was one of the most exciting games I played in my college career.

8.    Who was your favorite team or player to face while playing for William and Mary?

Answer : Hands down my favorite team to play while at W&M was JMU. I loved playing at JMU and loved playing them at home. I had friends on that team and it always had been a big rivalry between our two schools.

9.   What was it like to run out of the Tunnel the last time, Senior Year, on William and Mary's Senior Day?

Answer :  Bitter sweet. Unfortunately my last game my senior year I was injured with a torn ACL. To be honest I knew it was time to hang up the cleats as my body couldn’t take any more of the ground and pound beating that it had endured during my college years.

10.   Your Father came to help coach the Stone Bridge Football Program...how cool is that as a former Stone Bridge Player you see him give back to help your old high school?

Answer :  It was great! The best part about that is that my dad was finally happy with his job. He was well versed in corporate America, having multiple jobs in several fields of work but was never completely happy with what he was doing. Once he took the job with Stone Bridge we saw a whole other side of him. He was so happy to give back to the school and school family that helped me for years. He bleeds white and blue like I do!

11.  How does it feel to be one of Stone Bridge's alum who went onto play College or NFL football?

Answer :  It’s truly a blessing. I will say that I can’t thank my teammates and coaches enough for the blood, sweat, and tears they put into making Stone Bridge’s program one of the most elite programs in the country. I think a lot of athletes think they can get to the next level by themselves but in reality the players and coaches surrounding you are  the support you need to get to help you get to where you want to get to.

12.   My Final Question is: what advice or knowledge can you share with an incoming Freshman who wants to play Football at Stone Bridge?

Answer :   The advice I would harp on the most would be this: Figure out what you goals are and put your head down and grind. Nothing in life is easy but the more focus you put into your goals, the better the outcome. Coach Thompson doesn’t necessarily look for the best athletes, he looks for the kids that want to put in the work and don’t want to give up. You can teach fundamentals but you can’t teach someone “heart.”
