1. When did you first realize you wanted to play Football for a career?
·
I want to say when I was about 12 or 13 because that’s when I started to understand the game more and started to have fun with it.
2. Who was the biggest Role Model of your life?
·
As weird as it may sound, I don’t have a specific roll model. I was fortunate enough to have endless people in my corner who did nothing but lead me in the right direction which is why I think I turned out to be the person I am today. Beyond thankful for that because not everyone has people like that.
3. Who was your favorite Football player that watch growing up and why?
·
Michael Vick and Berry Sanders. I just loved how they just could never really be touched it was just something about the way they played. I tried to imitate their game.
4. What was your favorite high school Football game you played in at Dominion?
·
Pots Falls my senior year. Three reasons: it was our rivalry game, they had been talking smack all week and I scored Seven TDs that game!
5. What was it like to play at Marshall?
·
It was a great experience to play D1 football on a national stage just about every week. Went by too fast but loved every moment of it.
6. What was it like to break a lot of Records at Dominion? Also breaking having a 93 yard return to beat Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton?
·
Ya know, back then I didn’t really care about the records, my goal back in high school was to help prove and show people we were a good team and if that meant put the team on my back that’s what I was going to do. We had so many great players that never got recognized. So I think my senior year (2010-11 season) was the start of what Dominion is today.
7. What was your favorite game that played at Marshall?
·
That’s a hard decision, we played in a lot of great games, Id say Vs. FUI when I scored on both punt return and at Wide receiver and we ended up winning big. That game was on the 75th anniversary of the plane crash so it made the game that much more special.
8. What was it like to be the Offensive player of the year in the Dulles District in high school and in college you USA Special Teams Player of the year?
·
It was a good feeling to kind of see that the hard work I put in was finally showing off and getting notice nationally.
9. What was it like to Sign with the San Diego Chargers
·
Dream come true. Every kids dream is to make it Pro and the fact that I had that opportunity and getting the call on my birthday was a dream come true. A day and birthday ill never forget.
10. What was it like being on the same team with future Hall of Farmers Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates?
·
It was cool. Growing up I would obviously watch those guys and being that I was teammates with both of them was cool, after while they just became “Phil” and “Tone” I mean they were still big time don’t get me wrong but they were just teammates after that point if that makes sense. It was fun though.
11. What is like playing with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL?
·
The CFL was different at first. The field is wider and longer rules are a little different but it was a learning experience. but Its still football at the end of the day.
12. My final Question what advice would you give incoming Freshman that want to come play Football at Dominion high School?
Go in with the mindset to win and play in big time ball games. If you have any other mentality DHS fo
