Question : Jordan, I've been covering you since you know your days at Loudoun Valley High School, what is the biggest thing that you're proud of your growth and your development throughout your whole Mason career so far?

Answer : It's a good question. Um, I would just say, just getting a little bit better. Each year, you know added something added, whether it's improving something a little bit which this year I focus on shooting, whether it's, you know, getting bigger in the weight room just adding size pushing more weight, my key thing is just, it's summer each offseason just adding one more thing to my game, you know, because a lot of people like to focus a lot on a lot of stuff they want to add into their game which is good but worse from Kobe Bryant is Gilbert Arenas just focus on one thing, each each offseason and really try to improve that. and that's just been my mindset and my goals, and you know I'm proud of where I came, but I still have a lot more to achieve that I want to achieve, you know, always hungry always want to get better. And so I'm just hoping we finished up this conference tournament. I'm good at these recipes conference games are.
And for you personally know is, you know,

Question : Jake just mentioned earlier you guys did play St. Josph's earlier for you, you know, individually or as a team, what do you think you guys improved between the last time you guys played them?

Answer : I just think it's a lot more focus, especially one of our core values, actually, you know, last game a lot more open threes for us, is just going under handoffs or ball screens for shooters that we shouldn't be going under. So we just made an emphasis to make sure that we go over on every shooter, just locked in each play. I think we did a good job of that tonight.

Question: And then my last one for you, you know, AJ went down you know you lead again in scoring but you know there was some guys coming off the bench today. You know you being an older guy and you know you were younger guy before what what impressed you from those guys today.

Answer: I just think the way that they came in and it flowed. That makes sense. You know, they didn't come in, they weren't nervous they played with like extreme confidence for I thought for freshmen, especially, and you know I'm really proud of them and where they came and obviously you know being a freshman you're nervous you have these jitters, but I think they just stayed solid and just played. Importantly, and they were just key parts of like today, and often.

Question : I was asking Jordan earlier you know AJ got hurt and you know you had to have some of the younger guys come in who on the bench today impressed you the most today?

Answer : I think that z Darrow was was was really really good. Xavier Johnson, you know, really played exceptionally well and just your play within himself defended free throws. You know he was a calming presence. You know, at the Ronald polite, you know, it doesn't show up and he necessarily hit anything you know outstanding or amazing but it's three rebounds you to assess. He was in there for key moments, you know when he was like you felt good about him on the floor. You know when, and that's the progress for him where he hadn't played, and we've been injured he'd been out. And I thought, even shorter but we're starting to get a little bit, and play like a huge man that thought he did some good things in fact rebounds. Four rebounds in four minutes, you know, and so, you know, as we continue to try to get a little bit better, developing that bench in that depth. And again, you're talking, as he is effectively freshmen rounds of freshmen, or this is a fresh exam as a sophomore, that's really, really important for us.

Answer: then my last one for you I asked this to Jordan as well you know what was the biggest thing that, you know, or I'm sorry that you guys improved on the most from last time he said you guys were more focused. And for that, with Jordans comment what did you think the guys focused on more today versus last time when you played St. Joe's
in order to get I don't think was a lack of focus. The first time we played St. Joe's but they're so unique and different in their style. You know the one of the really fascinating things about this league, but one of the challenging things is you play a Rhode Island. Last week Saturday, and it's it's power basketball, it's hard nosed, you know, offensive rebounding. physical in your face, approach which is, you know, very very effective and then you turn around and, you know, everyone's shooting threes are driving it and so it's just their style is so unique. So we, you know, you can replicate in practice you can watch film. There's a certain amount of like you got to go through like holy smokes, this is what Coach is talking about. So I think that was it. We just did a better job or wasn't perfect. They did a better job switching out to their shooters.
