Question : Coach  I've covered Jalen when she was in high school. How was she grown, from a new freshman to now?  Also what is the biggest thing you're proud of of her development so far?

Answer : I'm kind of strong she's become you know, both mentally but and physically. You know, in the weight room, her numbers she still looks thin. But she she can she can put some weight up. She's gotten a lot stronger. And I think that's why on the boards and things that she doesn't, I like the way she's worked in interior game. You know, I don't think you saw a lot of that in high school, where she was playing a lot of point in bringing the ball up now she can go in and kind of bury somebody on our back and understands how to play a little inside game which is really fun. So she she develops and grows every year and today you got to see her shoot 15 footers like they were layups.

Question : Like you mentioned like her growth like career highs for you as a coach, you've been coaching for what for for you as an individual. What's it like seeing a player accomplish a goal like that?

Answer : It's like, with these with these ladies, you know, it's if you're a dad or a mom, you'll know exactly what I mean. It's like watching your children do something great. You know, for me, it's that same relation like I just like you get nervous for your children when they do something like that's the way I feel for my players. It's not for games. I'm not nervous for me, I get my nerves flare up for them. And when they do good, the joy I feel is that's why I love to coach I mean, the joy that you get watching a player grow and develop and get better and really see their dreams become reality. There's nothing better as a coach.

Question : And then my last two questions for you tonight, you know, everybody was you know, pass around that chemistry on the court and you're saying off the court, what's what's that like to see a dominant performance like that tonight, and then your next game you have five players from the DMV area going right at VT at VCU. What's it like to see players kind of have like a homecoming game to go back to like where they grew up?

Answer : I think I think it's great. That's one of the reasons why we scheduled VCU that's really the only reason we scheduled VCU was to do a home and home with them. And get these players back to play in front of their families. And because it is hard for their families to always get to see him especially during weekday games and things but I'm excited to bring these ladies back to the NBA

Question : A Jalen, I'll kick off on the same question. I mentioned this to coach I covered you back in your days at Freedom. You know, you're obviously coming home for to play against VCU. You're excited to you know, see some old friends. I mean, you just said you haven't stopped talking about it. I mean, you're getting closer and closer to it. So what's going to go through your mind when you arrive at VCU? Have you thought about it?

Answer : I have not. I assume it's gonna feel sold. I don't know. Like, like, I've been there so many times, like we've gone to watch games. They're like all the state championship games for in Virginia, or at VCU. And so like when we go to watch those are like, because like even because sadly did not win any. Like I remember as a kid I went to VCU to watch our high school team where who I played for freedom while they were all older, but like because like I watched them play the state championship and I got to be the ball girl one year and it was just exciting. I'm like, I've been there so many times. And now you're playing and I get to actually play there.

Question : And then you know, like I just said, No, I've covered you since freedom. How have you grown as a player since those freedom days to now what's the biggest thing you've learned through this whole process?

Answer : Feel like the biggest thing is trusting myself and others. But like a balance of that because like sometimes I feel like I don't trust myself. So I always try to give it to other people. And so I feel like trying to find that balance is what I've been working towards it's not perfect yet but so we're working towards
And then you know, this is a question for both of you. Cam so what's for you guys to chemistry tonight? You know, passing the ball around, no matter who came in, you guys were scoring. Just talk about that. Keep that to chemistry tonight.
Um, I think it's like some of the best it's looked in a while um, that doesn't say we love chemistry because it's there. You can we stop hanging out with each other and are something different off the court. But in on the court I just think that tonight really showed that when we move that ball and we do all that like it looks amazing. And when I came out a few times is looking off from the bench perspective. I mean, we get it to the high that we get it low and we get it back out. Then we get back to the high and then the lows open like it was going everywhere. And that's something that we need to take advantage of especially when we're a team that gets in good shape. And we can run teams to the ground through that we get them moving on defense and they stick we take advantage and I think tonight really show that we have that and hopefully continues and I think that it will and I think we can go from this game a lot. I really think we stepped up finally and I feel like we played together as a team the whole time. And I feel like a lot of times, like part of what our problem is I feel like your blade we come out flat and like the third or something. But like I feel like having chemistry and like putting it to use because like I know we have chemistry but sometimes it doesn't always show on the court. But I feel like today we nailed it home that like we've been playing together for a couple years now. And we know each other and we know where we all like to be where we all have our hotspots, and I feel like it all just came together in a good click.

Question : And then my last two for you. Obviously tonight was a career high for you. What's that like to check that off, you know, your list, you know, have a career high game and then you know for a personal perspective, you're you playing the ACC Jordan Miller who played it loud in Valley plays in Miami Jeremy roaches at Duke you know so many guys from the DMV and ladies are playing college basketball. What's it like to see your fellow alumni or you know, athletes from around your area playing at the collegiate level?

Answer : It's pretty cool because like what turnings is like watch a game and all of a sudden, like, I know that person or like I've seen them or I'd like trained with them before. And like it's really, really cool because like number 23 on Penn State I used to train with her. And so like it was cool to see her again. And like just it's really cool to watch other people because I mean the DMV, we're strong. We're strong, so to see all of us in other areas. It's always really nice to see. And then the about the career high for tonight.
I mean, that's pretty cool. I mean as long as we win, I do not care what the numbers look like. I just want to win.
