Question : Hey coach Michael Ferrara here with BURG Sports Network, obviously you guys had a big lead tonight but what did you think how your team prepared for Mason's two big guys in AJ and Jordan Miller.

Answer : Well I thought our defensive scheme was very efficient. And it's interesting that techniques that you work on as far back as October, they start to click as you go through January and February, and we feel very fortunate that all of those things have gotten repetition after repetition I think Kellen alluded to it, whether it was the close outs or whether it was the box outs or whether it was the armbar, whatever it might have been. There was a continuity of of defensive technique that has been something that's been part of our defensive work in practice everyday since October.

Question : Hey, Jordan, Michael Ferrara here with BURG Sports Network, you know, obviously you guys, unfortunately, you know came a little short tonight but overall this season you guys had your ups and downs you know you played with AJ & Javon, you know, those guys helped you in your career, what's it like at the end of the day that you played with those guys.

Answer : Yeah. You know I'm proud of the effort tonight. Playing with each one of those guys has been fine. It taught me a lot of things the bonds reforms have been great. You know sucks the way went out but I wouldn't rather go out with anybody else. So, most, most importantly, I'm just part of this group. I'm just blessed to be able to play basketball during this whole pandemic. And I just, I couldn't, I wouldn't want to play with anybody else.

Question Hey Jordan it's Michael Ferrara with BURG Sports again, you know, as I just mentioned, you know, you play with AJ you were the younger guy. Now you're going to become the older guy. What excites you the most about these young guys who are coming in, into this Mason program?

Answer :  I'm proud of everybody. Collectively, these young guys, the way they just been gym rats getting an exercise, you know, just being in there first ones in last ones to leave. I'm excited for the future, you know this is time to just reflect you better than this offseason. But like I said I wouldn't want to, I wouldn't want to play with anybody else and I think as long as we just keep having fun, and knowing why we play these games because we love it, keep playing with passion I don't think you know you can take that joy away from us when it comes to basketball.

Question : Hey coach, Michael Ferrara here with BURG Sports, you know, we've talked in the past you know in past press conferences about leadership, and you know, AJ and Jeevan. But for those guys you know when they were freshmen and now what are you most proud of about those guys. And what are you going to miss.

Answer : I'm proud of, of the way that they matured, you know, and, and I'm proud of you know them becoming really really good teammates. You know, for most kids when they entered college and that you know there were stars in it, it can be, you know, individual centered. And I think every kid in our locker room would tell you that that those guys are, you know, are very team centered, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention. Greg clicks. I have never in 27 years the head coach had a better teammate, and a more coachable kid and a kid that embodies everything that college athletics is about more than Greg collects you know certainly didn't have the stats and the numbers and the accolades, that, that, that Javan and he did but he really is what college basketball is supposed to be all about. And so I think all three of those guys. You know, are gonna leave some footprints. You know in our program and on our campus.

Question : Coach Michael Ferrara again with BURG Sports, you know, obviously, to the point just mentioned, is, I talked with Jordan you know talking when he was a young guy with Otis and AJ now Jordan is going to be the older guy. What excites you the most with his leadership and some of the young guys that are on the team now or incoming freshmen. What excites you the most about the future again.

Answer : I mean Jordan's grown as a leader tremendously well you know i even just think about the first time he came into a press conference his freshman year, you know just the maturity and, and you don't want a tough loss and and to give credit to other people and and think about his teammates and, and, you know, it's just it's fun to see. He's also really learned how to work and compete, and he enjoys working, and obviously you know we've seen his continued evolution of his game. And I don't think he's, you know i don't think he's anywhere near, you know, hitting his, his ceiling. So, it's exciting to see where he can get to as a player. You know it's exciting to see where you know he can continue to get to as a leader I think another guy that, you know, the circumstances were down so much we're trying to push the pace, so we couldn't play our normal lineup as much in the second half tonight because we're down so much but the Joshua Darrell has made phenomenal strides. And I think, you know, The future is exceptionally bright for Josh as well.
