Ross Madison Interview
1. When did you first know you wanted to be a football player?

I first knew that I first wanted to play football at the age of 4 years old.

2. What was it like playing for Heritage High School?

Playing at Heritage High School was a great experience.  If it wasn’t for playing at Heritage, I wouldn’t have been able to get to the places that I have been in life.

3. What was your favorite game during your high school career?

Every game in High School was a blessing.  Every game I played was my favorite game.

4. What was your Senior Day like at Heritage?

I was injured my Senior Day.  I wasn’t able to get on the field.  I was blessed to be able to continue to play football after high school.

5. Do you think running track at Heritage helped you during Football Season?

Running track definitely helped me with football.  I would advise all future footballers to run track in high school.

6. Did going to a smaller school help you before you transferred to Toledo?

I wouldn’t consider Hargrave Military Academy a “smaller school”.  Due to injury, I did a semester there to open my playing options up to play at the next level.

7. What was it like playing for Toledo?

Playing at Toledo was a great experience in my life.  I enjoyed every single moment of it.  I met lifetime friends, built great relationships, finished with a degree in Criminal Justice, and was able to take my talents to the next level.

8. What was it like coming home to be with the Redskins?

I would say coming back to the Redskins was a dream come true.  Growing up around the area, I was a “Skins” fan.  I was glad I could be close to home an represent LOCO.

9. During the pre-season game you made a big play on Special Teams...what was going on in your mind playing at Fed Ex Field?

Showing everyone that it doesn’t matter where you start, its where you finish.  Hard work pays off.

10. What is it like being with the Denver Broncos?

I can’t describe in words what it was like the play for the Broncos.  As soon as I touched down for my work out in CO, I knew I was going to be apart of the organization.  Not once did I wake up in the morning and not want to go to work.  All love for Broncos Country.

11. What  was it like being in the same locker room as Peyton Manning and Von Miller?

Two of the best football players I have seen with my own eyes.  Watching greatness on both sides of the ball only made me want to be the best I could be not only as a football player, but as a person.

12. How cool is it to be be part of the Loudoun County Alumni who made it to in the NFL?

Being the first to do it out of HHS and one of the first to do it in LOCO is the ultimate blessing to me my friends and family.  Achieving this was the so called “impossible”.  Defeating the impossible only sets the bar high for the future stars in LOCO. Its not where you start, its where and how you finish.
